Account DeletionYour right to erasure — Article 17 GDPR

Delete Your Account

When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently and immediately erased. There is no 30-day grace period and no hidden backups. This page explains exactly what is removed, what is kept by law, and how to proceed.

What Gets Deleted

On confirmation of deletion, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers:

  • Account profile — phone number, nickname, and email address (if provided)
  • Active session tokens and authentication credentials
  • Biometric authentication anchors — these are stored only on your device and are cleared when the account is removed
  • Active reward balances held in your Gamma Wallet at the time of deletion
  • Any push notification tokens or preferences linked to your account

What Is Not Deleted

A small amount of anonymised data is retained solely to meet legal obligations. No retained record can identify you personally:

  • Anonymised, aggregated transaction records required for compliance and audit purposes under GDPR Article 17(3)(b) — legal obligations override the right to erasure where the data is no longer linked to your identity
  • Rewards already redeemed against a merchant prior to deletion — those are completed transactions held in the merchant's own records and are outside our control

How to Delete Your Account

You have two paths. Both are free, and neither requires you to give a reason.

Self-service (immediate)

  1. Open the Gamma Wallet or Gamma Business app on your device
  2. Go to Profile (bottom navigation) and tap Settings
  3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm. Your data is wiped immediately.

Email request

Send a deletion request from the email address or phone number tied to your account to our Data Protection Officer:

We will respond and complete the deletion within 30 calendar days, as required by GDPR Article 12(3). Include your registered phone number or nickname if writing from a different address.
